New Year's Day
It's the season for looking ahead. New Year's resolutions and all that. Deb and I will have been married for 15 years in July, and I will have genuine memories that are 30 years old - seeing Star Wars, Virginia Wade winning Wimbledon, Boycott's hundredth hundred, Kevin Keegan leaving Liverpool, the FA cup final defeat to Man U that denied Liverpool the treble (I cried after that game).
My thoughts for the future are not in the real world though. I am looking to the future here in blogosphere. These are my blogging resolutions for 2007.
1. Include more hidden messages (I don't think anyone has found them yet).
2. Have a celebrity made up comments page. O think this will add to the postmodern challenge to the grand narratives of truth and explore the status of celebrity. (This is overblown, pompous, intellectualism - I actually think they'll be funny as well).
3. Have a spoof sponsors adverts page for the same reasons as 2. A website that looks to explore, critique and challenge the society we live in cannot ignore commercialism. I won't have genuine ads here, but fake ones could be useful.
4. Get some audio and video material up.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the season.
